To support diabetes management in primary care, Diabetes UK is launching the GP Surgery Network.
Designed for healthcare professionals in surgery settings, it provides medical information and patient materials to help in the diagnosis, treatment and self-management of people with diabetes.
Free of charge, we simply require one (or more) surgery contacts and
an address to send you material in a series of mailings that will include:
Aimed at healthcare professionals without a specialist interest in diabetes:
- Diabetes in Primary Care - written for healthcare professionals, a new medical education resource comprehensively covering all aspects of diabetes and effective clinical management. Accredited by the Royal College of Nursing.
- Patient tools, including a DVD starter pack for use by newly-diagnosed patients.
For further patient support and the latest developments in diabetes:
- Diabetes UK resources, awareness and patient educational materials,
our bi-monthly lifestyle publication for patients, Balance, and quarterly healthcare professional magazine, Diabetes Update.
